Ordained in 1992, the Reverend Dr. Belinda C. Windham is in her third year at New Hope. Prior to ministry Belinda had a 17-year career in health care administration in Austin. She earned a B.L.S. degree summa cum laude from St. Edward's University, with a major in Health Care Administration. Her Master of Divinity degree is from Austin Theological Seminary, with the award at graduation of the W. P. Newell Memorial Fellowship for outstanding academic achievement and showing promise for leadership in the church. In 1996, McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago awarded her a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching degree.

Born in Bryan, Belinda grew up in the oil patch of West Texas and southeastern New Mexico. Due to her father's work her family moved seven times by the time she was 12 years old. She spent her childhood summers with her grandparents on their ranch in Raccoon Bend, between Bellville and Hempstead. She also spent time visiting her aunt, uncle and cousins who lived in Katy back then.

Belinda has previously served congregations in Taylor, Livingston, and Houston, Texas, in solo, associate, and interim positions. For 19 years she has served the larger church in the higher judicatories, including the Women's Ministry Unit of the General Assembly, the Presbyteries' Cooperative Committee which writes and administers the ordination examinations for the denomination, and the Permanent Judicial Commission of the Synod of the Sun. She currently serves New Covenant Presbytery as a member of the Administration Subcommittee of the Committee on Ministry.

Belinda serves on the advisory board of The Institute of Pastoral Studies and as a member of the adjunct faculty of Houston Graduate School of Theology. She is one of the founders of the Katy/West Houston Interfaith Clergy Association. In 2008, the Friends of Women's Studies at the University of Houston honored Belinda as one of 50 outstanding women in Houston.

Belinda and her husband of 38 years, Darrell, have lived in the Spring Shadows neighborhood on the west side of Houston, for 10 years. They have one son, Sam, who together with his wife, Vanessa, lives in Houston. Sam is an ecclesiastical architect with Jackson & Ryan Architects and Vanessa is the Assistant Disciplinary Counsel of the State Bar of Texas.

Aside from work, Belinda loves the theater and film. She most enjoys reading suspense thrillers and whodunits. When Darrell is not playing golf, he works for the University of Texas Press as their Trade Sales Manager. The other member of the family is a little black Scottish terrier named Suzie, a fine Presbyterian dog.
